User Reviews about Samsung LN19C450 19-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

I purchased this very TV when it first came out and it's perfect for our guest room. Excellent color, easy to set up.

A short while ago, I needed to choose a TV for my Dad who is now in assisted living residence. When I saw this was available -- now at half what I paid -- it was a no-brainer. It's the perfect size, hooks right up to the residence's TV service, and has excellent closed captions. He's thrilled with it!

Also want to mention that you don't need to have HD service to get a very good picture. -- Excellent TV at great price
We have installed this 19" TV in a corner near our computer so we can watch while we cruise the net or work. We had a tiny 9" TV in that spot that was alright but with our aging eyes we needed a bigger screen to watch. This Samsung is perfect for that small job with no complaints at all. One point that I want to note......The sound with this TV in the corner is GREAT being neither to loud or to soft.

Over all we find this Samsung to be a winner and this from a serious die hard Sony TV man !!!! -- Nice TV for small spaces
I purchased the television to use in the bedroom and it is a perfect fit. I am happy with the picture quality, sound and appearance. -- Samsung TV
I am quite happy with my Samsung LN19C450. I was almost scared off by the reviews of other Samsumg 19" TVs and the comments on "tinny" sounds, but decided to give it a shot given my satisfaction with my large 46" Samsung LN46A950 TV. I was replacing a 1yr old Magnavox 15" LCD HDTV, which was quite weak on sound. I rate the sound of the 19" Samsung as very nice. I'm not sure if it is improved over previous models (seems to have the same specs), or if other reviewers expected 46"sized TV sound. -- `Quite Happy

User Reviews about Samsung LN32C530 32-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

This TV has one of the best picture in the 32 inch category. The sound from the speakers is pretty good actually and I mostly hear it at 10 (100 being highest). I have it connected with a Directv SD box and after messing with the settings, the picture looks great for being SD. High Def. channels of course look excellent.
My setting for SD are:
Mode: Standard
Backlight: 8
Contrast: 90
Bright: 40
Sharp: 30
color: 45
Tint : G46/R54
Black tone: Dark
Dynamic Contrast: Medium
Gamma +1
White balance: G-offset 15
G-Gain 15
Edge Enhancement : On
Digital Noise: Either High or Off

any settings not listed where not changed. Hope this helps. -- Great TV
I don't have this model but so what.first i got an LE 32 hd it sucked. The samsung is built well, its heavy and is fixed to a solid round chunk of clear plastic.I know sony is not as strong as my samsung model. can not be knocked over, very srong. it has a sharp look everything is good but one thing with my model if you look at it off angle the picture gets brighter i dont know why. my maw has a sony 32 hd and it does not get as bright off angle. other then that this tv is awsome. its the 2nd 32 hd we have. my 32 is about 5 feet from my face and it is not to big. i wanna get one for my pc makeing it 3 hd 32's we will have and two of them are samsung. maybe it getting brighter of angle has something to do with it being an LED. The model on this page is LCD. i recommend samsung 32. sorry about the spelling. -- at first i wasnt sure but now...
I have had many Samsung electronic items and once again, Samsung has outdone themselves!!!! What a terrific TV for the money. The picture is is outstanding, the sound is terrific and the television itself is superb value -- it exceeds my expectations. For those who had had difficulties [regarding their reviews herein] I cannot imagine what happened. We are dutifully grateful to Samsung for yet another outstanding product. Thank you. -- Samsung 32" LN32C530
Third time's the charm. And am I glad I found this Samsung! I must admit purchasing at a local store but would have happily bought it from Amazon and saved money.

Here's the deal; I wanted a 32" HDTV for a spare bedroom in the 500 dollar range. First went with the Sony 32EX400. Now this may sound like a crazy reason for going with the Sony but I chose it because I discovered with my Dish Network remote control if you find the correct TV code, then the (*) asterisk button on lower left of the Dish's remote will activate the Sony's Sleep Timer. Hooked up the Sony to the HDMI from the Dish Receiver and there was a glitch where it says it cannot locate any HDMI device. Screen is black unless I unplug the HDMI then put back in. More issues with that Sony but long story short I took it back. The local store had received a new shipment of that Sony (and with different serial number series) so I risked trying the same model. Hooked the second one up and still had the HDMI issue. I wanted to make sure it wasn't on my end so I hooked up an HDTV from another bedroom: no problem, so I knew the Sony was going back and I'd go with a different brand. Did my online homework and this Samsung 530 seemed to fit the bill. Wow! What a difference between the Sony and this Samsung! I haven't even touched the Samsung to adjust contrast or color. The Sony was dim right out of the box on both sets I tried.

Love the remote control on this Samsung. Nice big buttons and color coding is a plus for a bedroom TV. And it has a dedicated "SLEEP" timer button on the remote. No hunting through a menu. I've included a pic in the photo area.

Tip for Dish Network users: If you program the Dish's remote control "TV" mode button to code 858, it will work like the Sony, allowing the (*) asterisk button to activate the "Sleep Timer". No more switching remotes to set the timer.

I would recommend this set to anyone looking in this price range. -- Very Pleased with the Samsung 530
I did a lot of research and comparisons before making this purchase, and this came out the winner. The price is terrific for a 32in Samsung. The picture and sound are amazing right out of the box. The cosmetic of this TV is lovely. Setup was easy, and everything else is pretty much self-explanatory. No problems with it yet. Samsung won again! Yay! -- Amazing TV!

User Reviews about Samsung LN55C650 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

Good TV, I love the internet capabilities and it seems like it is solidly built and will be able to last a long time. I still need to calibrate the TV, but the colors look great and I won't go back to a non-HD TV ever again. I haven't really used the sound much b/c it is connected to my home theater system, but everything else seems above par. -- Great TV, Good Picture
Received my Samsung LN55C650 yesterday and set it up last night. I have it connected to an AT&T Uverse DVR with HD programming. The picture is very good but definitely not as bright as the new LED models that are out now. I read one review and have seen similar comments that the "movie" mode is the best mode for regular use but I found it too dark and the colors looked pale. I set it to "normal" and the picture seems much better but I did turn the backlight down from 20 to 15 as it seemed a little too bright. I have also read that the viewing angle on this TV isn't as good as others and I would have to agree with that. As you get further away from being centered with the TV at some point you start to see the picture quality fade a little. It's not terrible but you do notice the difference as you move away from center. I do not have the TV connected to the Internet yet but I will update my review as I do more with it. If anyone has any questions just comment on my review and I will answer as best as I can. For the price of this TV I think most people will be pleased with it. I replaced a 27" tube TV and I am still in awe of having a big screen LCD. -- One day old nice TV
I purchased this LCD for a month. Very satisfied. HD picture quality for under $1500 is a bargain. My first flat panel was a Daewoo 42" plasma "display" (no sound nor TV tuning) with 720x600 resolution, and it cost $2300 in 2004, talking about day and night difference. Samsung is a good brand for TV. Color is vivid and audio is very good.

If I am picky, or don't mind spending extra, my other choice would be LED TV. That costs more, but is even thinner (like the thickness of a Blackberry) and lighter. That is a plus when later you want to get rid of it, and won't hurt your back. That should be considered.

Finally pulled the trigger on this monster screen.
Bought from Amazon warehouse. Got TV on time, delivery guys great.
Next day I got a pop up message in the bottom left corner of the screen. Contacted Samsung, had tech out here within 7 days. Motherboard was bad, and had to be replaced.
Also missing mounting screws! The mounting screws took over 2 weeks to get, Samsung cust. service was very bad on this item, finally got them and installed.
Picture is beyond what I expected. Found sound to be better than what I had heard in other reviews.
App.'s are great, use all of them.
Looked up on line how to adjusted picture settings, very easy to do. Sports games are "wow!"
Very happy I bought this TV, disappointed when I first got it but is working perfect now.
Saved $$$ via warehouse, Contacted Amazon about all the trouble and they knocked off $$$!! Glad I went via Amazon, no tax, no shipping fee and great service!!!! -- Great...BUT.....
The picture quality is excellent except for dark scenes & when you watch the closing credits on any movie you can can see clouding on the left border of the screen and flashlighting on the corners if you are in a dark room. The clouding is still visible with the lights turned on in the room. Just wished the picture was uniform and completely black with no clouding. I read in the AVS forums this is a common problem with LCD TVs and Samsung makes different panels for these TVs where SQ1 is suppose to be the best though it has clouding problems. Just wished it could be fixed and feel uneasy whenever a dark scene with a lot of black appears on the screen. Other than that it seems ok and it is better than my 2006 Sony Wega 55" which I replaced with this TV since it had a bad optical block. Never buy a TV from a Ebay seller. Just hope this TV does not break down. The Amazon reviews were helpful in fixing the juddger problem which I noticed when I turned on the TV for the very first time. Prefer to watch most movies and shows in the standard mode and adjusted the color and brightness settings since most peoples calibration settings made the picture look very dull and yellow with no color. I prefer to watch NFL games in the dynamic mode since there is more color on the uniforms and helmets. -- A decent TV but with flaws
